Will Houghton
Senior Associate - Therapeutic Care
Train the Trainer, ILM 5, Level 3 Education and Training, Level 4 in Residential Childcare, Management Responsibility within Safeguarding
Will estbalished the business in 2016 as a freelance Consultant and Trainer for the residential childcare sector. His knowledge, skills and experience go back 25 years working with vulnerable young people. Will has managed children's homes, established himself as South West Lead Trainer and managed specialist schools. Devoting his career to specialist and therapeutic care means he is well-appointed in developing the skills of those in the industry.
His first hand experience and empathetic approach to care, presents itself in his ability to understand real training needs with holistic outcomes for both delegates and their service users. Will's ethos, natural warmth, and genuine care for the work he does, means learning is not a passing occurnece, but the begining of a journey, one in which he wants to support and be part of.

Trish Tolfree Consultant and Trainer

Trish Tolfree has a BSc Psychology and an M.A. in Social Work and is a qualified registered Social Worker. Trish is a valued member of our team, delivering a range of training on behalf of Houghton Training Associates.
In 2002 Trish trained as a Practice Educator, also achieving Fellowship status with the HEA in 2019. She has over 20 years’ experience working in Local Authority settings practising within statutory social work. Trish has had experience in Youth Justice and Children’s Social Care; progressing to the role of a Practice Educator.

​The focus is to enable and challenge social work practitioners to develop their knowledge base, acting as a consistent point of reference for best practice and facilitating learning and professional development in practice. Trish now shares her knowledge and passion for making a difference beyond the public sector.
Consultant and Trainer
Ryasia Chambers
Ryasia is care home manager and is highly commended by Ofsted. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and particularly specialises in Reg 44 visiting.

With 11 years experience in children's social care, predominantly in a children's home settings. Ryasia has a wealth of knowledge and skills, specifically in Autism, sensory processing disorders, ADHD and behaviour that challenges. She is passionate about her work and over the years has developed her knowledge and skill set, undertaking training in Leadership and Management, Young People's Workforce Development, Safeguarding, Sign Language, Complex Trauma, including in-depth courses relating to the specific needs of service users.
